Services

TFS provides specialist services designed to give operators control and confidence over their thermal fluid systems.

Our services follow a structured, evidence-led approach. We start by understanding how a system is designed and operated, validate how it is actually performing, and then support continuous improvement through monitoring and expert guidance. This ensures systems are managed proactively rather than reacting to failure.

Initial System Assessment

Every engagement begins with a clear understanding of the system and its requirements. One of our thermal fluid specialists will attend site to assess system design, operating conditions, fluid selection, and current performance. This initial assessment identifies immediate risks, performance limitations, and opportunities for improvement.

It provides the foundation for informed decision-making and ensures any next steps are aligned with how the system is actually used.

Auditing Systems

Auditing allows us to understand how well a thermal fluid system is performing against safety, compliance, and best practice. Our audits assess system condition, operation, and critical safety functions, identifying both current issues and longer-term risks. The outcome is a clear, practical view of system performance and where intervention or optimisation is required.

Auditing removes uncertainty and replaces assumptions with evidence.

Laboratory Services, Sampling & Fluid Testing

Laboratory testing plays a critical role in understanding fluid condition, but results must be interpreted in the context of the system they support.

Our laboratory services assess thermal fluid performance and degradation characteristics and feed directly into the OPC® Rank, which defines fluid performance against real operating temperature and pressure conditions, not generic limits.

This provides a true measure of whether a fluid is fit for purpose and how close it is to its practical operating limits.

Improvement Planning

Improvement planning is an ongoing, continuous process rather than a one-off intervention. Using data from assessment, auditing, and testing, we develop structured improvement plans focused on reducing risk, extending fluid life, and improving system efficiency. Progress is reviewed regularly, allowing plans to evolve as operating conditions change.

This ensures improvements are sustained and performance does not drift over time.

System drain, flush and refills and partial dilutions

Although the majority of issues can now be managed without the need to replace fluid, where there is no other alternative, our teams of engineers are able to provide a comprehensive turn key service.

Active Guardian Monitoring

Active Guardian adds a powerful layer of real-time visibility and protection to thermal fluid systems. By continuously monitoring key system parameters, Active Guardian gives operators complete visibility of how their systems are performing. Deviations from normal operating conditions are identified early, allowing action to be taken before issues escalate.

Active Guardian supports safer operation, improved efficiency, and greater confidence in day-to-day decision-making. It transforms system management from reactive to proactive.

Services That Work Together

Each of our services can be delivered independently, but the greatest value is achieved when they are brought together as part of a managed, long-term approach.

The PACT Partner Programme provides the framework for delivering the right services at the right time, based on how each system operates and how its condition changes over time. It allows assessment, auditing, testing, improvement planning, and monitoring to work together rather than in isolation.

Through PACT, services are scheduled, reviewed, and adjusted as part of an ongoing partnership. This ensures risks are identified early, performance is maintained, and improvements are sustained, giving operators confidence that their thermal fluid systems are being actively and intelligently managed.

Why TFS?

TFS understands that no two processes are the same. What our clients have in common is the need for safe, reliable heat transfer and confidence that their thermal fluid system is under control.
