Sustainability

Sustainability at TFS is built on one clear principle: the most sustainable thermal fluid is the one that does not need to be replaced

Since introducing our first patented flash evaporator in 1999, we estimate that well over 50 million litres of thermal fluid have been recovered and returned to service rather than discarded and replaced. That represents a significant reduction in waste, transport, emissions, and unnecessary energy use.

Our Sustainability Goal

Our long-term goal is for thermal fluid systems to operate as genuinely sustainable processes, where the fluid remains in service for the operational life of the asset.

We work towards this by ensuring the right fluid is selected for each application, systems operate efficiently, and degradation is actively managed rather than accepted as inevitable. When fluid condition is controlled properly, change-outs become the exception rather than the norm.

How We Achieve It

Sustainable performance comes from control and consistency. Through auditing, monitoring, dynamic thermal filtration, fluid recovery, and ongoing system optimisation, we help ensure every kilowatt of energy generated is delivered to its point of use first time.

This reduces wasted heat, limits fluid breakdown, and improves overall system efficiency. The outcome is lower energy demand, reduced carbon impact, and safer, more predictable operation.

A Greener, Safer Way to Operate

By extending fluid life and improving energy efficiency, our clients reduce waste, lower operating costs, and minimise environmental impact without compromising performance. Sustainability, safety, and efficiency are not competing goals. Done properly, they reinforce each other.
