For decades, the accepted response to thermal fluid degradation was simple: dilute the system or replace the oil. Rising TAN levels, acidity, contamination, or deposits were treated as end-of-life indicators, with replacement seen as the only option.

TFS challenges that thinking

96% of fluids do not require replacing and can be fixed!

Since introducing our first patented flash evaporator in 1999, we estimate that well over 50 million litres of thermal fluid have been recovered, repaired, and returned to service rather than replaced. This shift in approach has reduced waste, avoided downtime, and delivered significant cost and energy savings for our clients.

Stay Online While We Fix the Fluid

Our support services are designed to work alongside live operations. Using plug-in, online technologies, we repair and recondition thermal fluids while systems continue to run.

We identify the problem, address the root cause of degradation, and restore fluid condition without the disruption, cost, or environmental impact of draining and replacing oil. Just as importantly, we support plant teams, operators, and engineers in preventing repeat degradation.

Our Technology

Our online fluid recovery and life-extension technologies include patented flash evaporation, dynamic thermal filtration rigs, moisture removal, and targeted contaminant separation.

Each system is deployed based on fluid condition and operating environment, allowing us to remove acids, light ends, carbon solids, sludge, water, ferrous material and other contaminants while the system remains in service.

This is not corrective maintenance in isolation. It is active fluid management.

Addressing What Was Once “Unavoidable”

Historically, rising acidity or TAN was treated as irreversible. Replacement or dilution was recommended because no viable alternative existed.

Our plug-in, while-you-run technologies now allow these issues to be addressed directly. Acidity can be reduced, degradation products removed, and fluid stability restored without shutdowns, waste streams, or unnecessary energy use.

The result is a greener future, safer systems, and more efficient operations, with energy and cost savings realised over the long term.
